Crafts Schedule
REGULAR ART & CRAFT GROUPS – NON – TUTORED / SELF-HELP
These groups are run and attended by small groups of like-minded individuals who meet on a regular weekly or bi-monthly basis to work on their own projects and share their techniques in a relaxed sociable atmosphere.
All levels of ability are welcome but you must be able to work independently of formal tuition
Embroidery
We are a small friendly group of embroiderers who meet untutored every other Tuesday morning, 10-12:30am.
We work on our own projects, but sometimes we have a theme for example Snowdrops, sewn in a variety of ways.
We put the world to rights as we sew, over tea and coffee. We would like to encourage new members with fresh ideas and enthusiasm.
Art Textiles
Art Textiles is a thriving, self-taught group that meets on the second and fourth Thursday of the month. We have space for around 12 members who attend on a full or half day basis, working on a diverse range of projects simultaneously.
We do not have a teacher but there is a wealth of knowledge in the room, and everyone is more than happy to share their skills and offer advice, where needed. Occasionally, members will run short workshops on a particular subject of interest and these are always well received.
Sugarcraft
The Sugarcraft Group meet on a Tuesday afternoon from 2 to 4 pm in the Annexe attached to the Main Hall.
We are a small friendly active group and undertake a variety of work using sugar as a basis. Recent projects have included using modelling mediums to create 3D items such as a Basket of Fruits; Flower arrangements and vases; Christmas Baubles and miniature gardens.
The Sugarcraft Group caters for all levels of members – from absolute beginners to those with a little more knowledge.
