About the event
This six-week course will run on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. for six consecutive weeks, from Thursday, October 7th, to Thursday, November 22nd ( excluding the school half-term week).
Throughout the course programme, you will be equipped with a comprehensive understanding of drawing and painting. This course is designed to provide you with a solid foundation in art, starting with mastering the use of a variety of mediums and techniques, and then progressing to the beautiful world of watercolours. You will learn to paint a wide range of subjects, from animals and flowers to landscapes, still-life portraits, buildings, and boats.
Richard will introduce the types of paint you can use, the principles of colour-mixing, and a variety of practical techniques such as wet-in-wet, wet-on-dry, dry brushing, washes, layered washes, salt, spattering and lifting out. These skills will not only enhance your artistic abilities but also boost your confidence in your own work.
Materials will be provided.
Having completed this course, you can confidently join one of our regular daily or evening classes or weekend workshops.
